James E. Beyer is the Vice President of Design for The Venetian Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has held that position since June, 2000. Prior to that he was a Principal at The Stubbins Associates, in Cambridge, Massachusetts and served as the Project Director for The Venetian Casino Resort with the Collaboration of TSA/WAT&G, who were architects for the project. Mr. Beyer worked with The Stubbins Associates for twenty years.
Mr. Beyer is an NCARB certified architect and holds active architectural registrations in Nevada, Arizona, Ohio, Massachusetts and New Jersey. He has provided design and project management for large mixed use complexes around the world, including the National Bank of Kuwait, the Singapore Treasury Building, the United States Embassy and Ambassador's Residence in Singapore, and the Las Vegas Sands Macao.
Mr. Beyer grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Kent State University, where he received a Bachelor of Architecture with Honors. He received a Masters of Architecture from Harvard University. He has taught at Rhode Island School of Design, North Carolina State University and The Boston Architectural Center, and has lectured at the School of Architecture at The University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
